To install the AI TextGen Macro app go to the Atlassian Marketplace and click “Try it Free”.

The AI TextGen Macro needs to be configured with your own OpenAI API key to work. We recommend you use a paid account and not the free version as it has much better performance and reliability.

1- Go to Confluence Settings by clicking the cog wheel in the top right while logged into your Confluence instance.

2- Under “APPS” on the left, go to the “AI Text Generator Macro Settings” page.

3- Enter your OpenAI API key into the field labeled “API Key”. This key should start with “sk-“.

4- Click the “Submit” button.

5- If your API key was successfully saved you should see a “Success” message.

To use the AI TextGen Macro on your Confluence Pages use the (/) Quick Insert menu and type “ai” or use the (Insert) menu at the top of the page.

Quick Insert

1- Press the “/” (forward slash) key.

2- Type the letters “ai”.

3- Select the “AI Text Generator Macro” or press ENTER.

Insert Menu

1- Open the (Insert) menu at the top of the page.

2- Search for “AI Text Generator Macro”.

3- Select the Macro to insert it into your page.

Basic Use

1- Click on the AI Text Generator Macro.

2- Click on the (Edit) option on the AI Text Generator Macro.

3- Enter your prompt using the Macro config panel on the right.

4- After entering your request, click off of the text box to save your prompt and generate text.
